The Mirokaï Explorer Suit is a humanoid robot manufactured by Enchanted Tools, designed for use in social and caring environments. Its design combines various AI-powered functions that make it a versatile platform for research in the field of human-robot interaction. We are using our female model "Miroka" to test new concepts for the use of AI in the field of social robotics - especially where automated but human-like support is required.

Miroka uses machine vision for facial recognition and object tracking, allowing her to react to individual people and orientate herself in dynamic environments. AI-supported SLAM (Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping) technology is used for navigation, which enables her to move autonomously indoors and develop stable routes.

Miroka also relies on AI-based speech recognition and processing for interaction in order to interpret spoken language and enable contextualised responses. This is complemented by adaptive gesture and movement control based on machine learning, which enables the fine motorised, situation-adapted execution of tasks - such as gripping objects with marked "runes".

Mirokaï are deliberately equipped with a stylised, almost cartoon-like face and a reduced, non-human body design. This design is intended to enable closeness without being interpreted as human and aims to trigger positive reactions without raising expectations of real emotion or awareness.
